Sunshine on my back

Monday, April 27, 2015

Hey guys! I haven't posted and outfit post in a really long time so I thought I'd share one this week. I wore this outfit two-three days ago on a lovely sunny day. We (my sister and I) spent that day just hanging out and about. We went out to a cafe, then a little bit of shopping and then to this spot where we could take some photos. Of course right when we were about to finish up we were told we weren't allowed to take photos there even though the area is a public area. I still can't understand the logic behind that but there isn't much to do about it I guess.

I had a gift card, which I won from a giveaway a while back, to this online shop called Hello Parry and I decided to get a few things from there before I forgot about it. After a month they arrived at my door and I immediatly fell in love with their quality. You can see two of those things in the photos right now. The first one is the jumper and the second one is the clutch. The jumper definitely made it into my 'most comfy clothes' list and I don't think it will ever come off of it. It's really soft and loose which makes it super cosy as well. The only thing that my bother some people is that in the front it says 'the square' but clearly the lines make a rectangle. I didn't really pay much attention to it when I ordered it but when I wore it the other day I was like "wait a minute...what?" then I got over it of course haha. Honestly when I ordered the clutch I didn't know what I was going to get because I've never used anything holographic before. But of course I fell in love with it right away. It's 100% handmade according to the website and I definitely see a product that was made with care. I just adore everything about it.

P.S. I'll link everything down below as usual. Thank you for all the comments you guys have been leaving and be sure to check back if you've asked something because you will most definitely get a reply <3 One last question: How is the weather where you are? I wonder if it's as out of balance as it is where I am.

Photo an Hour // 19.04.2015

Thursday, April 23, 2015

10:00 / Heading to my little cousins birthday breakfast.
11:00 / Breakfast is surely my favorite time of day.
12:00-13:00 / Blowing out the candles and opening presents (unfortunately I don't have a photo of the latter).
14:00-15:00 / After a few days of having the sun shine on our skin this day was shockingly cold. It didn't stop me from spending some time to take photos of tulips and chamomiles though!
16:00 / Of course I always spend a bit time on VSCO to edit photos for Instagram.
17:00 / Around this time I was basically just sitting and being bored a bit so I decided I'd snap a shot of this beautiful flower.
18:00 / Had a lovely and fulfilling dinner.
19:00 / It was a gloomy day and this was the last photo I could take before it got dark a couple of minutes later. And since I didn't want it to be boring I played around with it.
I realized after looking through these that this time I managed to take a lot of food and flower photos but I don't think they'll do any harm so I'll keep it. And of course my day did not end here. After taking the last shot I took a shower and started my assignment that I had to hand in the next day. After working on that and finishing it I decided to chat a bit with friends online and then I went to bed. And there it is, a day of my life. Hope you enjoyed it <3

Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 Palette

Wednesday, April 8, 2015

Hey guys! I thought it might be a nice idea to talk about the lovely Iconic 3 palette today. I have seen a couple of reviews from other bloggers about it, which is one of the reasons why I suggested my sister to buy this from Makeup Revolution a few months ago. We have always been very fond of nude, simple colors for our eyes so this palette was definitely a good investment. With a price of £4 I think this palette fulfills all kinds of expectations. I have read that besides the packaging and the price Iconic 3 is very similar to the Naked 3 palette, which I have never tried but heard many good things about. If they are as similar as they say it is than I think I'm pretty fond of our purchase.

This pallette is enriched with matte and shimmery colors. I'm always cautious when it comes to shimmery things but Iconic 3 has done it right. I don't have the need to use shimmer regularly but if I ever need to I'd definetly go for the ones on this palette. I actually started using one of the darker colors (the color that's on the left of the last dark color) for my eyebrows and it looks incredible. I had never thought of using eyeshadow for my eyebrows before but now I can't live without it. If you haven't tried it than you should give it a go as well :)

Istanbul on Film #3 // Büyük Valide Han

Friday, April 3, 2015

I took my film camera to university last Friday and convinced a few of my friends to go to this awesome historic place called Büyük Valide Han. This 17th century han was used as an inn for traveling merchants at its time and now its most interesting feature is the ability to go up on its rooftop. There is a caretaker that will open the door to this rooftop for you once you tip him a little amount (not more than two liras). Going up the stairs makes you feel like you are stepping into history and once you are on top and you walk towards the edge there is a spectacular view of Istanbul waiting for you.

The photos don't do the place or the view enough justice but I really love how the city looks from here. Istanbul is confusing and crowded but small places like this one is what makes it special. Considering how enormous the city is, there is probably a few more places like this that are just waiting to be loved by the people who are ready to open up their hearts.

P.S. I took the last photo while we were leaving the rooftop, I have no idea who the people are but I really loved the way they were looking out to the view.

*I used a Zenit 122 + Fujicolor Superia 200 (Expired)*
