Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara Review

Sunday, March 8, 2015

Hey guys! So I kind of messed up with my blog planning this year and I feel terrible about it. I guess being on vacation from January till the middle of last month got me super lazy. But now that phase is over because I've got classes, assignments and other things that keep me busy as well as my blog. And while I haven't been around here you've been amazing at being the best readers. Thanks for sticking around and commenting :)

Recently, I got an email from Emi from Emi Unicorn saying I had won a giveaway that she held a while back. I'm not that lucky with this sort of thing so of course I was super thrilled that I had won. Emi has the prettiest pastel purple hair and she gives off a super positive vibe. I enjoy reading her amazing blog, you should definitely check it out.

One of the things in the giveaway was this Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. Before I tried it I had already fallen in love with it because of the way it looked. As you can see it's a very pretty shade of pink all over, even with the letters. Simple designs will always have my attention. When applying the mascara I noticed that it adds a lot of volume even on the first coat. Even though I like being simple I decided I'd try something new and do one more coat. My lashes looked amazing. I didn't even know my lashes could look so bold because they aren't that long and full. I was happy with the result. Second thing I noticed is that at the end of the day I had a bit of smudge under my eyes. It wasn't much though so I didn't make anything of it but after seeing a couple of reviews on their website from some people I thought I'd mention it. But my sister did not have a problem with it what so ever. I wasn't much of a mascara person until this month I think and right when I was thinking of buying one for myself this appeared on my door step. For me something like this is definitely pricey so I'm going to make the best of it while it lasts. If in the future I decided to spend a bit more than I usually do on make-up I will purchase this again.

What is the one mascara you always go back to? I definitely need recommendations.

  1. Aw yay for winning a giveaway! It looks like a nice mascara the brush looks good. I definitely appreciate those kinds of brushes as opposed to the silicone ones; I love the limited edition mascara MAC did with their archie girls collection... it's the only mascara i've kept specifically to reuse the brush!

  4. The packaging totally sold me on this stuff, but I find that it leaves residue under my eyes. :(
